Tokyo delivery case study: a Calacatta Monet dining table
Natural stone meets the warmth of cherry wood: a Tokyo dining room
We delivered a Calacatta Monet (ST010) dining table to a home in Tokyo. With cherry wood used throughout the interior, the stone’s gentle colours and flowing veins bring a harmonious new layer to the space.
Measuring 1,600 × 850 × H750 mm, the table pairs a natural stone top with brushed rose-gold stainless-steel legs. The understated sheen of the metal complements the warmth of wood and the depth of the stone’s pattern, enriching the everyday dining setting.
The same stone takes on a different expression with changing materials and light. In the Nagoya home, it connects dining and living spaces alongside a bright interior and a deeply coloured sofa. Here in Tokyo, it echoes the warm tones of cherry wood, creating a softer, quieter impression. In both homes, it settles naturally into the interior and adds texture to daily life.
The cutting layout shows how a single slab was allocated to these two projects. The upper-right rectangle (1,600 × 850 mm) became the Tokyo dining table. The circular top, two hexagonal tops and shaped coffee-table top were made into furniture for the Nagoya home. Choosing where and how to cut the veins is part of the pleasure of commissioning a piece.
Iridato offers whole slabs for sale and made-to-order furniture using your selected stone. From dining and side tables to other styles, we can discuss shapes, dimensions, leg materials and finishes to suit your plans. Please contact us for the latest selection of available slabs.
